Team Tayside at Glasgow 2026: Day 5

It was a quiet day for Team Tayside at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, with none of the region's athletes in action across the competition schedule.

Several athletes were preparing for crucial events later in the week, including Dundee cyclist Mark Stewart and Monikie decathlete Joel McFarlane, while Perth netballer Cerys Cairns and Dundee's Shayne Humphries enjoyed a well-earned rest ahead of their upcoming fixtures.

😌 A rest day for Team Tayside

After a busy opening four days of competition, Tuesday provided a chance for Team Tayside's athletes to recharge before returning to action later in the Games.

Attention now turns to the final stages of the wheelchair basketball competition, the conclusion of the netball group stages, athletics and the opening of track cycling.
