New independent coffee shop Next Door officially opens in Broughty Ferry

A brand-new independent coffee shop has officially opened its doors in Broughty Ferry, bringing another exciting addition to the area’s growing selection of cafés!

Next Door, located at 339 Brook Street, welcomed its first customers on Saturday 10 October, offering a selection of coffees, speciality drinks and sweet treats.

The new café is operated by Pippa van Wees, who has fulfilled her dream of opening her very own coffee shop.

Ahead of the opening, Pippa shared her excitement on Instagram, thanking everyone who had helped turn her ambition into reality.

“Can’t believe on Saturday my dream of opening my own wee coffee shop becomes reality,” she wrote.

She also thanked everyone who had supported her throughout the journey, adding that she couldn’t wait for customers to experience Next Door.

A new place to enjoy coffee in Broughty Ferry

Next Door offers a range of traditional coffee favourites alongside creative iced drinks, making it another welcoming spot for people looking to enjoy a coffee in the heart of Broughty Ferry.

The café has been sharing updates on Instagram in the lead-up to its opening, giving customers a glimpse inside its stylish new premises and showcasing some of the drinks available.

And the response from the local community has already been fantastic!

Following its opening weekend, Next Door revealed that it had experienced non-stop queues for hours, with an incredible 18 litres of syrup used during its first two days.

Taking to Instagram, the team described being overwhelmed by the support, thanking everyone who had visited and praising family members who helped throughout the busy weekend.

With Brook Street already home to a variety of independent shops, cafés and restaurants, Next Door adds another option for locals and visitors to enjoy.
