New Broughty Ferry To Tayport Boat Service To Run Throughout The Rest Of The Year

A new boat service on the Tay from Broughty Ferry to Tayport has been confirmed to run throughout the rest of the year, after a successful trial run took place this week.

In a new Facebook video posted this morning, SaltDog Marine, the operators of the service, announced that they would be running the services for the rest of 2024.

It was back in February when the tour operator announced journeys between Broughty Ferry and Tayport, and the reaction was very positive.

The new boat trips will cost £16 for adults aged 18 and over, and £12 for children ages 7 to 17, return included, and will take people across, with the boat coming to collect you at your stop after three hours.

Dates for bookings will be added imminently over at the SaltDog Marine FareHarbor page here.

There hasn't been running boat trips on the Tay between two locations since the decommissioning of the Tay Fifies back in the 1960s.

The Tay Fifies used to travel from Dundee to Fife up until 1966 when the Tay Road Bridge opened to commuters.
