Dundee has been treated to a colourful display in recent days, with several rainbows spotted across the city.

At least four rainbows were captured last week, appearing over areas including Lochee, the River Tay, and the city skyline.

They arrived after a spell of unsettled September weather, with bursts of sunshine quickly followed by heavy showers.

Locals were quick to share photos of the striking arcs of colour, with many saying the rainbows offered a welcome bright spot during the mixed weather.

The sight of rainbows over Dundee is not uncommon at this time of year, but their frequency in the past week has drawn particular attention.

For many, they have been a reminder of the beauty that can appear in the skies even on the stormiest days.
