Malones are opening up their new Dundee pub next Thursday

A brand-new Irish pub is preparing to open its doors in Dundee city centre next week, with Malones Dundee officially welcoming customers from Thursday 12 November!
The new venue will open at 6pm on Panmure Street, following a £250,000 transformation of the former BrewDog premises, bringing live music, major sporting events and traditional Irish hospitality to the heart of Dundee.
The opening marks the arrival of the Malones Irish pub group in Dundee, joining its existing venues in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Leith and Glasgow.
Visitors can expect a combination of live entertainment, major sporting fixtures, Irish drinks and home-cooked pub food, with Malones promising a welcoming atmosphere for everything from casual drinks to nights out with friends.
The venue will also become the only pub in Dundee to offer Guinness, Beamish, Murphy’s and Tennent’s Stouts together under one roof, giving customers a wide selection of traditional stouts.
Live music five nights a week
Live entertainment will be a major focus for Malones Dundee, with performances planned five nights a week, including some evenings featuring multiple live acts.
The team has already received a strong response to its appeal for Dundee bands and musicians to perform at the venue, with local talent expected to play an important role in its entertainment programme.
Malones is also establishing connections with local sporting organisations, having secured sponsorship agreements with Abertay Football Club, Abertay Basketball Club and Dundee University Women’s Rugby.
Weekly pub quiz announced
The venue’s first weekly pub quiz will take place on Monday 16 November at 7pm, with the event returning every Monday thereafter.
The quiz will feature Heverlee beer sampling, including an alcohol-free option, alongside merchandise prizes during the first three months.
Simon Keane, Director of Malones, said: “We’re delighted that the launch of our newest venue is nearly here, bringing the Malones’ craic to Dundee.”
“We want Malones to be a place the people of Dundee can drop into for a pint, come along for the music or sport, or make a night of it with friends. Both bookings and walk-ins will be welcomed.”
Malones Dundee officially opens at 6pm on Thursday 12 November at the former BrewDog premises on Panmure Street.
