LIVEHOUSE Dundee is hosting a 30th anniversary celebration of the former Dundee nightclub Mardi Gras

The former Dundee nightclub Mardi Gras is being celebrated for its 30th anniversary at a new event coming to LIVEHOUSE this July!

Originally opening in 1995, the Mardi Gras quickly established itself as a powerhouse in Scotland’s nightlife scene.

By 1999, it was drawing more than 10,000 clubbers across eight weekly sessions, earning prestigious accolades including Entertainment Team of the Year for Scotland and several other awards.

To mark this milestone, LIVEHOUSE will host a one-day Mardi Gras Reunion event on Saturday 19 July 2025, recreating the electric atmosphere and iconic energy that made the original club a cornerstone of Dundee’s cultural nightlife.

The reunion will feature a line-up of original Mardi Gras DJs, including:

• Pat Mulligan

• John Milne (Fired Up Tay FM)

• Matt Findlay (Tay FM, Beat 106, Highlander Bar Ibiza)

• More names to be announced soon

Doors open at 3pm, with the main event running until 8pm. For those keen to keep the celebration going, a special after party will run until midnight – exclusively for ticket holders.

To celebrate pay weekend, organisers have launched a limited ticket promotion which you can check out here on Universe.

The first 300 tickets will be available at a special price of £16.00, followed by an early bird offer of 500 tickets at £19.95, a nod to the club’s original launch year.

With the cutting-edge facilities and increased capacity of LIVEHOUSE, the team aims to recreate the Mardi Gras’s glory days and provide a night to remember for long-time fans and new generations alike.
