Land next to the future Eden Project site has been put up for sale

Land adjacent to the upcoming Eden Project site in Dundee is now available for sale, it has been announced.

The announcement highlights the strategic importance of the location, given its proximity to one of the city’s most anticipated developments.

The site, which spans approximately 8.9 acres, is located just a few meters from the Eden Project and was formerly an oil refinery facility that has been inactive for the last decade. Situated adjacent to the Port of Dundee and to the north side of the A92, the land offers significant potential for development.

Its prime location benefits from excellent connectivity to major roads, including The Kingsway (A90), A92, and Riverside Drive, making it an attractive prospect for developers.

CBRE's listing of the site follows recent plans submitted to Dundee City Council in April for the construction of a substation and a Network Rail Feeder Station.

The proposed project involves various infrastructure developments, including earthworks, platform formation, landscaping, access roads, enclosures, site drainage, and temporary construction compounds.

The proposed substation is a key component of the broader strategy to support the Eden Project Dundee, which emphasizes sustainability and environmental responsibility.

The sale of this land comes amid a period of significant transformation for Dundee, highlighted by the Eden Project and the city’s £1.1 billion Waterfront Transformation. These initiatives are set to redefine Dundee’s commercial landscape, offering new opportunities for investment and economic growth.

Some suggest that the development of this site could further enhance Dundee's reputation as a dynamic and forward-thinking city. The availability of this land represents a significant opportunity for developers looking to capitalize on the city's evolving landscape.

CBRE's announcement is expected to generate substantial interest from potential buyers, eager to be part of Dundee's exciting future.
