HMS Unicorn has been recognised at the Scottish Thistle Awards, winning the prize for Innovation at VisitScotland’s Central & East Regional Awards.
The accolade celebrates the ship’s forward-thinking approach in preserving and presenting more than 200 years of naval history.
Based at Victoria Dock, HMS Unicorn is Scotland’s oldest ship and one of Dundee’s most iconic attractions.
Staff and volunteers have worked hard in recent years to expand the Unicorn’s reach through creative projects and visitor engagement.
Winning this award reflects the team’s efforts to safeguard the vessel while keeping its history relevant to modern audiences.
The success adds to a wave of good news for Dundee’s heritage attractions, reinforcing the city’s reputation as a place where history and innovation come together.
