Dundee’s own Hannah Laing is set to release a heartfelt new single dedicated to her best friend, Ellie Scanlan, who sadly passed away earlier this year.

The track, titled Have You Ever Loved (Ellie), will serve as a musical tribute to Ellie’s memory and their close friendship.

Laing, who has become one of Scotland’s most recognisable DJs with hits like Good Love and Party All the Time, shared that the upcoming release holds deep personal meaning.

The song will be produced in collaboration with fellow artist Hannah Boley, blending emotional depth with the signature euphoric sound that has defined Laing’s rise in the dance music scene.

The single comes just months after the hugely successful Doof in the Park event in Dundee, which took place shortly after Ellie’s passing.

Fans and friends have since expressed their support for Laing, praising her strength and dedication to honouring her friend’s legacy through music.

While full details on the release date are yet to be confirmed, anticipation is already building among fans who have followed Hannah’s journey from her early days performing in Dundee clubs to headlining major festivals.

Have You Ever Loved (Ellie) is expected to strike an emotional chord with listeners, offering both a celebration of friendship and a moving reflection on loss.
