Dundee’s very own Hannah Laing has been named a finalist in the Hard Dance / Bounce category at the DJ Awards 2025, a recognition that cements her status as one of the fastest-rising DJs in the industry.
Hannah, who has built a reputation for high-energy sets and crowd-pleasing tracks, has had a whirlwind year.
She secured a coveted residency at the world-famous Hï Ibiza, where she has been performing to packed crowds on one of the biggest stages in electronic music.
Closer to home, she also headlined her own music festival, Doof in the Park, drawing thousands of fans to celebrate her return to Dundee. The event will be returning next year with early bird tickets having already been sold out.
The DJ Awards are among the most respected accolades in the dance music scene, celebrating talent across multiple genres and stages worldwide.
Hannah’s recognition comes at a time when Dundee is enjoying a cultural boom, with homegrown talent increasingly gaining international attention.
Speaking about her success to Dundee Culture earlier this year, Hannah credited her fans for their support and spoke of her pride in representing Dundee on a worldwide platform, citing that “Dundee means everything”.
Her nomination now gives those fans the chance to back her once again by voting online.
Voting is open now through the DJ Awards website, with winners to be revealed later in the year. Fans can show their support by visiting djawards.com and casting their vote.
