Children and young people across Dundee can enjoy swimming for just £1 during the October school holidays, following the return of a popular initiative that attracted thousands of visits over the summer.

The swimming offer gives families an inexpensive way to get out of the house for fun and exercise during the week-long school break.

The £1 swimming offer is currently on now and ends on Sunday 25 October.

The discounted swimming offer is only available to kids and teens 17 and under who live in Dundee. It provides access to public swimming sessions for £1.

The swimming offer is an extension of the popular Dundee Summer of Sport program, which offered 13,850 swimming sessions for the reduced price of £1 throughout the summer holidays.

Which Dundee swimming pools are taking part?

The £1 swimming offer is available at the following pools:

  • Olympia

  • Lochee Swimming and Leisure Centre

  • St Paul's Swim and Sports Centre

  • Grove Swim and Sports Centre

  • Harris Swim and Sports Centre

The offer is valid during regular public swimming sessions, and is subject to each pools' opening hours and session offerings.

Kids and teens can take advantage of the offer once a day, and the normal supervision policy for child admission remains.

There will be no public swimming or family fun sessions at St Paul's on 25th October.

What is the eligibility?

For swimming to be £1, children and young people must live in Dundee and be between 0 and 17 years of age.

Children eligible for £1 swimming must show one of the following at the swimming pool:

  • A Summer of Sport pass

  • Young Scot card (with a Dundee address)

  • Active Dundee card (with a Dundee address)

  • Children under 5 do not need to show proof.
