A few Dundee businesses have taken Justin Bieber’s surprise trip to Dundee as the perfect opportunity for some light-hearted fun — by photoshopping the pop star into their premises.
The Canadian singer was spotted arriving at Dundee Airport on Friday ahead of the Dunhill Links Championship in St Andrews, sparking plenty of excitement, speculation and confusion online.
But while most fans were wondering where he’d head next, a few local spots decided to make that part up for themselves.
Land of Spex on Albert Street joined in on the joke, posting a photo of the singer outside their shop alongside the caption: “Oh my GOODNESS!! He’s not turning up EVERYWHERE. He didn’t come to see our new scaffolding, which almost matches the shop.”

Meanwhile, The Barnhill Tavern shared a tongue-in-cheek post claiming Bieber had stopped by for “an award-winning bacon roll” and “a reasonably priced pint of Cruz Campo.”
The post added that the global superstar had popped in before heading to the golf championship — much to the amusement of locals in the comments.

The posts quickly gained traction online, with Dundonians applauding the humour and creativity behind the edits. Many said it perfectly captured the city’s sense of fun and quick wit, especially during big events that draw attention to the region.
While there’s no sign Bieber actually stopped for a bacon roll or admired local scaffolding, these clever posts have definitely put Dundee’s playful side in the spotlight.
