Dundee singer Katie Nicoll picked up a win at the Scottish Live Music Awards.
Nicoll had previously been recognised on the awards longlist, where she was nominated in both the Acoustic Live Artist of the Year and Young Live Artist of the Year categories. Her win in the latter category marks a major milestone in her rising career and highlights the strength of Dundee’s emerging live music talent.
The singer has been building a reputation across Scotland for her acoustic performances, combining strong vocals with heartfelt songwriting.
Her live shows have helped her develop a loyal following, with audiences drawn to the personal style of her performances.
Fellow Dundonian Connor Byrne was also recognised during the awards season after being longlisted with his band The Bad Kissers in the Rock and Metal Live Artist of the Year category. Although the band did not take home the award, their nomination reflects their growing presence on the Scottish live music circuit.
The Scottish Live Music Awards celebrate artists, venues and music industry figures from across the country. The awards focus on achievements from the previous year of live performances, with the ceremony taking place the following year once the full live music calendar has been considered.
