Dundee Santa Dash 2026 reveals new details as registration opens for festive city centre run
Get ready to dust off your Santa hats and festive outfits, because Dundee’s Santa Dash is returning this November, and organisers have revealed more details about this year’s event, including how to take part!
The popular festive fundraiser will take place on Sunday 15 November 2026, bringing hundreds of Santas to Dundee city centre for a morning of festive fun, exercise and Christmas cheer.
And whether you fancy running, jogging, walking or wheeling your way around the route, everyone is welcome to join in!
Santa Dash returns to Dundee city centre
This year’s Dundee Santa Dash will begin and finish in front of City Square, with participants following a festive route around the city centre and passing some of Dundee’s most recognisable landmarks.
The event will feature a 4km route consisting of two laps, although participants are welcome to complete as much of the route as they feel comfortable with.
Before the dash begins, Active Dundee coaches will lead a group warm-up session to help everyone get ready for the morning’s activities.
The main event will then get underway at 10.30am, with Santas making their way through the streets of Dundee.
And there’s no need to worry about setting a record time! The event is all about having fun, enjoying the atmosphere and spreading some festive cheer.
A festive event for the whole family
One of the best things about Dundee Santa Dash is that it’s designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities.
The event is family-friendly, child-friendly and even dog-friendly, meaning four-legged companions can join in the festive fun!
Participants are encouraged to dress in their best Santa outfits, with plenty of red suits, festive hats and Christmas accessories expected to fill the city centre.
Everyone taking part will receive a finisher’s medal, while Santa Dashers will also be given a goodie bag to remember the occasion.
With the focus firmly on participation rather than competition, it’s a lovely opportunity for families, friends and community groups to get together ahead of Christmas.
