Dundee’s 2026 cruise season is officially set to begin this week as luxury expedition cruise ship World Navigator prepares to arrive at the city’s port before continuing a voyage through Norway’s famous fjords and coastal towns.
Operated by Atlas Ocean Voyages, the vessel is scheduled to dock in Dundee on 13 May at 9am before departing later that evening at 6pm. The stop forms part of a wider Northern European itinerary which begins in London and ends in Tromsø, Norway.
After leaving Dundee, the cruise ship will continue north to Aberdeen before sailing onwards to destinations including Stavanger, Bergen, Vikoyri in the Sognefjord, Nordfjordeid and Alesund.
The World Navigator is known for its smaller luxury expedition-style cruising experience, featuring high-end suites, observation lounges and adventure-focused itineraries designed to explore more remote destinations across the world.
Its arrival also marks the beginning of what is expected to be another busy cruise season for Dundee, with several more ships scheduled to visit throughout the summer months.
Ambassador Cruise Line’s Ambition vessel is due to make multiple appearances in Dundee across July and August as part of a series of Norwegian cruise itineraries, while luxury cruise ship Azamara Quest is also expected to visit later in the summer.
Each cruise arrival is expected to bring visitors into Dundee’s waterfront and city centre, giving passengers the chance to explore attractions including Discovery Point, V&A Dundee, Broughty Ferry and the wider city before continuing their journey.
With thousands of cruise passengers expected to pass through Dundee during the 2026 season, the growing schedule continues to highlight the city’s increasing role as a cruise destination in Scotland.
