Dundee Rep alumnus Alan Cumming has been recognised on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

A proud Dundee-related moment has unfolded in Hollywood as Alan Cumming was honoured with a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The internationally acclaimed actor, who began his career in Dundee, was celebrated for his lasting impact on film, television and theatre.

Adding an extra layer of Dundee pride to the occasion was the presence of Dundee-born Brian Cox, who helped present the award.

Like Cumming, Cox is an alumnus of Dundee Rep Theatre, making the moment a powerful coming together of two of the city’s most successful cultural exports.
