Dundee has recorded its warmest day of the year so far, with temperatures reaching a high of 19C yesterday, despite a mix of sunshine and scattered showers throughout the day.
The city experienced a varied spell of weather, with bright intervals giving way to bursts of rain, creating a classic spring day across the region. However, the changing conditions did little to stop temperatures climbing to their highest level of 2026 so far.
While 19C may not be considered extreme, it marks a notable shift towards warmer conditions as Dundee moves further into spring.
The rise in temperature comes after a very wet start to the year, with recent weeks gradually becoming milder.
Forecasters suggest that while conditions may remain changeable in the short term, temperatures are expected to stay relatively mild as the transition into summer continues.
The latest high offers a reminder that warmer days are beginning to arrive, even if Scottish weather continues to deliver a blend of seasons in a single afternoon.
