Dundee is set to benefit from a major funding package that will help strengthen neighbourhoods and improve quality of life across the city.
An additional £1.5 million will be invested over the next two years as part of the Pride in Place Impact Fund, a nationwide programme designed to support local communities from the UK Government.
The fund is aimed at giving cities and towns the resources to grow, modernise, and celebrate their unique character.
The money will help drive improvements across a wide range of areas, including:
Revitalising high streets and town centres
Preserving and promoting local heritage
Expanding housing opportunities
Supporting job creation and skills development
Improving health and wellbeing
Enhancing local safety and community facilities
Strengthening transport links and accessibility
In total, the programme will invest £5 billion in 339 communities across the UK, with Scotland receiving almost £300 million.
For Dundee, this new funding means more opportunities to refresh public spaces, encourage community activity, and build on the city’s cultural and economic strengths.
It comes at a time when Dundee continues to grow in reputation as a vibrant hub of creativity, design, science, and tourism.
This investment ensures local people and organisations will have greater support to shape the future of their neighbourhoods — making Dundee an even better place to live, work, and visit.
