Dundee is set to be represented on the international stage after confirming its place within Scotland’s delegation at the prestigious MIPIM Global Urban Festival this March.

The annual event, held in Cannes, brings together city leaders, investors and developers from across the world to discuss urban development, regeneration and real estate.

The city will take part as part of the Scotland at MIPIM delegation, powered by Place, joining fellow Scottish cities Glasgow and Edinburgh alongside a range of private sector partners.

Dundee’s attendance is seen as an opportunity to strengthen its profile internationally and build long-term strategic relationships.

Mark Flynn, Leader of Dundee City Council, said attending MIPIM would help reinforce the city’s ambitious regeneration plans and highlight new investment opportunities.

He pointed to Dundee’s £1.6 billion, 30-year waterfront development, alongside major plans for the city centre and continued inward investment in housing, hotels and leisure.

Cllr Flynn also highlighted Dundee’s diverse and innovative economy, with strengths in life sciences, tech and cyber industries.

He said the city continues to offer strong propositions for investors looking for sustainable, long-term growth and new development opportunities.

By engaging directly with global investors and partners at MIPIM, the council hopes to attract further interest and investment that can support Dundee’s future as a modern and forward-looking city.

Discussions will take place both publicly and privately, with Scotland benefiting from its own stand within the UK Hub at the event.

Dino Moutsopoulos, managing partner and head of commercial at Place Media Group, said Dundee has several key growth sectors and an exciting pipeline of opportunities.

He added that Dundee’s presence at MIPIM will ensure investors hear directly from the city’s leadership about why it is an attractive place to invest.
