Christmas in the Square to return to Dundee this festive season

Christmas in the Square is set to return to the heart of Dundee this festive season, bringing rides, festive food and drink and a Christmas market back to City Square.
Run by Horne’s Pleasure Fairs, the event will once again transform the city centre into a festive attraction following its appearance in Dundee last Christmas.
Visitors can expect a selection of Christmas rides alongside food and drink and festive market stalls, with further details of what is planned for this year still to be announced.
Christmas in the Square will form part of Dundee’s wider Christmas celebrations, with Horne’s Pleasure Fairs also providing rides for the city’s Christmas Switch-On and Dundee Hooley celebrations.
Councillor Mark Flynn, Leader of Dundee City Council, welcomed the return of the event.
He said: “It’s great to see Christmas in the Square returning to Dundee. Last year was a really good event and it’s fantastic to see Horne’s Pleasure Fairs continuing to show their commitment to the city and the local area.
“I’m looking forward to working in partnership with them and seeing what they have planned for this year’s festive season.”
The announcement gives Dundonians their first taste of what to expect from Christmas 2026 in the city, with full details of Dundee’s wider festive programme set to be revealed soon.
