Broughty Ferry Beach has been crowned the best and safest beach in Scotland in new research published by the AA, adding another impressive accolade to one of Dundee’s most popular coastal destinations.
The study praised the beach for its outstanding water quality, awarding it a perfect score of 100, while also recognising the presence of lifeguards during the bathing season to help keep visitors safe.
The AA also highlighted nearby landmarks including the RNLI lifeboat station and Broughty Castle, noting that both contribute to the beach’s appeal and reputation as a safe and welcoming destination for locals and visitors alike.
The latest recognition adds to the growing list of awards and achievements for Broughty Ferry Beach, which continues to attract thousands of people each year thanks to its golden sands, scenic setting and family-friendly atmosphere.
The accolade also reflects the dedication of the many organisations, volunteers and staff who work throughout the year to keep the beach clean, well-maintained and safe for everyone to enjoy.
