Broughty Ferry Beach has once again proven its popularity and environmental excellence by being recognised as one of the best beaches in Scotland at this year’s Scotland’s Beach Awards, hosted by Keep Scotland Beautiful.
The award celebrates the quality, cleanliness and accessibility of coastal areas across the country. Broughty Ferry Beach was one of 52 beaches across Scotland to receive the prestigious recognition in 2025, highlighting its ongoing commitment to high standards and a welcoming environment for visitors and locals alike.
The Scotland’s Beach Awards scheme is the only national benchmark for local environmental quality at beaches. It recognises beaches that meet criteria for water quality, safety, access, and community involvement.
Often described as a jewel in Dundee’s crown, Broughty Ferry Beach is a popular destination for walkers, families, swimmers and nature lovers, thanks to its sweeping sandy shoreline, views of the Tay estuary, and proximity to Broughty Castle and local amenities.
The award serves as a timely boost for the area as the summer season approaches, encouraging even more visitors to enjoy one of Scotland’s standout coastal spots.
