Ice Dundee skaters Anastasia Vaipan-Law and Luke Digby have taken an impressive lead at the British Championships after delivering a clean and confident performance in the Senior Pairs Short Program.

The pair topped the standings with a score of 72.02, marking a strong start to their final competitive season before the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.

Their skate was met with enthusiasm from spectators and officials alike, with the duo showing the poise and precision that have made them one of Britain’s standout pair teams.

Their routine, executed with control and energy, has placed them firmly in contention heading into the next stage of the competition.

Fellow Ice Dundee pair Becca Ritchie and Kyle McLeod also impressed in what was their first appearance at the Senior British level.

The duo delivered a solid opening skate, securing second place with a score of 39.72. Their performance marks a significant milestone as they transition confidently into senior competition.

Attention now turns to the Free Program, where both Dundee teams will look to build on their early success.

With the scores reset to be combined, the final standings will come down to how each pair handles the longer, more technical routine.

The momentum from this championship is especially meaningful for Vaipan-Law and Digby as they prepare for their Olympic debut next year.

Representing Team GB in Milan-Cortina is a dream they have worked towards for the past few years, and their performance this week will serve as a major stepping stone in their Olympic journey..

Both will return to the ice for the Free Program as the British Championships continue.
