A special event celebrating the Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award is coming to Dundee’s Marryat Hall on Saturday 8 November 2025.
Presented by Big Rock Records and Leisure & Culture Dundee, the night will feature Dundee musician Andrew Wasylyk and artist Tommy Perman performing their acclaimed album Ash Grey and the Gull Glides On, with a live brass and woodwind section. The album is longlisted for this year’s SAY Award, which takes place at the Caird Hall on 6 November.
Special guests include Dundee pop artist Be Charlotte and Perth singer-songwriter Mairi Sutherland. Both have been praised for their songwriting, with Be Charlotte also longlisted for the 2025 SAY Award.
Andrew Wasylyk said: “There’s a lot of really good songwriters operating in Tayside doing great things at the moment.
Be Charlotte and Mairi Sutherland are two such artists. Tommy and I are delighted they’re able to join us at the beautiful Marryat Hall.”
Anna Day from Leisure & Culture Dundee said the event will “shine a spotlight on the creative talent rooted in our communities” as part of the city’s celebrations marking the SAY Award’s arrival in Dundee.
