A new world foods supermarket is set to bring fresh life to a long-vacant bank building in Dundee.
Rahman’s Supermarket, which already operates two successful stores in Edinburgh, is expected to open its newest branch on Strathmartine Road.
The site was previously home to a TSB bank, which closed its doors in 2022 and has remained empty ever since.
A sign outside the former bank announced the upcoming arrival of the new supermarket.
The store will specialise in world foods, offering a wide selection of groceries that reflect a variety of international cuisines.
With Dundee’s increasingly diverse population and growing demand for culturally varied products, the new store is expected to be a welcome addition to the area.
The opening of Rahman’s Supermarket also marks a positive development for the neighbourhood, with hopes that it will boost foot traffic and bring more vibrancy to Strathmartine Road.
An official opening date has not yet been confirmed, but preparations at the site are already underway.
