Dundee Museum of Transport has unveiled its opening exhibition for 2026, with La Dolce Dundee: Speed, Style and Italian Spirit set to open this Sunday, February 1 and run through to April.
The new exhibition launches the museum’s new season and promises a colourful celebration of Italian design, engineering and motoring culture.
La Dolce Dundee will showcase a range of iconic Italian vehicles, highlighting the flair and personality that have made Italy one of the most influential countries in automotive history.
Visitors can expect to see everything from charming Fiat 500s to one of the most legendary rally cars ever built, the Lancia Stratos.
The exhibition explores how Italian vehicles blend performance with unmistakable style, telling stories of innovation, speed and craftsmanship. From compact city cars designed for narrow streets to machines built for competition and prestige, the display offers something for both casual visitors and motoring enthusiasts.
Museum organisers say the exhibition reflects the passion and individuality behind Italian motoring, while also celebrating the joy these vehicles have brought to generations of drivers and fans. The arrival of La Dolce Dundee marks a lively and visually striking start to the museum’s 2026 programme.
The exhibition opens on Sunday, February 1, with Dundee Museum of Transport operating Friday to Monday from 10am to 4.30pm. It is included with standard museum admission.
La Dolce Dundee will run throughout the season, offering visitors a chance to experience a slice of Italian spirit right here in Dundee.
