A new free motorsport festival is making its way to Dundee this weekend

A brand-new festival celebrating motorsport, electric vehicles and family fun is set to make its debut in Dundee this weekend.
StreetCar Festival Scotland will take place across Friday 31 July and Saturday 1 August, bringing together international rally competition, interactive experiences and free activities designed to introduce more people to the world of motorsport.
Running alongside the FIA EcoRally Scotland, the festival aims to showcase how motorsport is becoming more accessible while highlighting the growing role of electric vehicles in the sport.
The festival begins on Friday evening at John Clark Motor Group on Broomhill Road, where spectators can watch the ceremonial start of FIA EcoRally Scotland. The international rally gets underway at 7.30pm, giving visitors the opportunity to see competitors begin their journey through Scotland.
Activities continue on Saturday from 9am until 5pm, when the venue will host a packed programme of free attractions for all ages.
Visitors will have the chance to experience free passenger rides in electric vehicles, take part in AutoSOLO experiences using their own road cars, try professional racing simulators and test drive the latest electric vehicles.
The festival is designed to make motorsport more welcoming and accessible, giving people the opportunity to meet competitors, explore electric vehicle technology and discover how to get involved in grassroots motorsport.
