A new Dundee restaurant serving boozy brunches has just opened up

A stylish new restaurant and bar has officially opened its doors in Dundee – and it’s already turning heads. Located in the heart of the city on Nethergate, The Paddock brings a fresh and modern vibe to what was formerly the Medina Bar and Grill.

With a complete transformation of the space, The Paddock now offers a cosy yet contemporary feel, described as "country chic" – blending rustic charm with modern design. Inside, you’ll find stylish interiors, interactive dartboards, a revamped dining area, and an inviting atmosphere perfect for both daytime and evening visits.

The menu has quickly caught attention for its brunch offerings, including pancakes, maple syrup, scrambled eggs, toast, and much more. In addition to a strong breakfast and brunch line-up, The Paddock also serves up gastro pub favourites, tapas with a twist, and a range of unique cocktails that already have locals talking.

Another exciting addition is the acoustic performance area, adding to the venue’s relaxed, sociable energy – making it more than just a place to eat and drink, but a space to hang out, unwind, and enjoy live entertainment. Social dart lanes are proving especially popular, offering pre-booked food and drinks packages for groups.

Open from 9am daily, The Paddock brings something distinctively new to Dundee’s food and drink scene. Whether you’re popping in for a boozy brunch, a chilled evening meal, or just to try one of their quirky cocktails, this is a venue that’s already making its mark.
