Marks & Spencer will be opening up a new store at the Gallagher Retail Park in Dundee on July 16 that will result in the closure of the Murraygate branch and the existing Gallagher Retail Park site nearby.
The Courier reports that the new store is set to have a grand opening on Tuesday, July 16 at 9 am, the event will be led by Mary Power, a seasoned professional with 25 years of experience.
Simultaneously, the current M&S Foodhall at Gallagher Retail Park will shut down. This store, which is part of a £30 million investment in Scottish retail locations, will be located in the former DW Sports & Fitness and Mothercare units.
Visitors can anticipate a variety of offerings including food, clothing, beauty products, and a café. The food section will include a fresh-market style food hall, an in-store bakery, a flower shop, and a wine shop.
Clothing departments will cater to men, women, and children, showcasing popular brands like Per Una and Goodmove.
Beauty enthusiasts will find brands such as Apothecary and Fresh Elements. The store will also introduce convenient services like digital click and collect, as well as features like scan & shop.
This strategic investment aligns with M&S's efforts to strengthen its presence in Scotland, with plans for additional stores in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Largs, and Linlithgow.
